Moon Light

The moon spoke to me,
through the earbuds of my ipod
It was the moon who spoke to me

He told me a secret
Yet i know it is one he would want me to share
He told me a secret about his light
He told me how and why he was like a torch in the night

He said, "You know it's not actually mine
But it's the light of the sun that makes me shine."
I thought to myself, "that i already know!"
He read my mind and said,

"Son, remember first,
If you be of them that shines like a torch
don't think it's really your light burning bright
But think of the sun that gave life to you
It's he that shines through you!

He then told me about a mirror that's clean
he told me in it what he had seen
the sun he said was shining bright
even in the middle of the earthly night.

This is the most apt and probably the deepest of the poems I have read and 'understood' in the recent times.. :P

Hats Off!
